The Alliance for Young Minds, an initiative of Next Step Community Solutions, is a collaborative network of business partners, school partners, and members of the faith community dedicated to transforming the lives of Texas teens through vital mental health services. By uniting community-minded partners, we aim to address the pressing mental health challenges facing young people today. Our alliance supports Next Step Community Solutions, an organization committed to providing accessible mental health resources and programs tailored for youth.
We’re Bridging the Gap
Teens today face a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to stress and trauma. Unfortunately, many don’t receive the help they need due to barriers such as stigma, lack of access, and logistical difficulties. By placing counselors directly on campus, we can address these obstacles and get students the help they need.
1 in 5 East Texas teens ( 15,500 students out of the 77,433 students) in the region have a diagnosable mental illness.
We are only serving 3% of the need. with your support, we can change this reality.
YOUR INVESTMENT AND IMPACT
Membership in the Alliance for Young Minds is an annual investment of $350, a commitment that will directly support critical mental health services for Texas teens. Annual memberships cover the school year (May 2025 – April 2026 )
Your contribution will help fund essential programs such as free on-campus counseling for students, ensuring that mental health support is accessible right where it’s needed most. Additionally, funds will support the Sources of Strength suicide prevention program, which empowers students with the tools and resources to build a supportive community and reduce stigma around mental health issues. Your investment will also provide counseling for at-risk students in alternative settings, creating safe spaces for those who need it most.
